I don't know about you, but I think that weekend just moved wayyyyy too fast!
Being the die hard "DIY junkie" that I am, I'm always on the hunt for some fun and easy projects that actually look nice when you finish them. If you remember this blog post from last week, I included some really neat DIY mason jar room air fresheners.

In keeping with my blog promise to learn more about me in the New Year.....I would like to introduce you to "my previous self". Hello, my name is Collette Osuna, a published scrapbooker. After my son Alex passed away in 2000, I turned to scrapbooking as a form of creative release and healing. At that time, I could have never imagined the amazing opportunities that would be headed my way.
I have to laugh sometimes when I look back at the different stages of my life. I can remember when I was younger and always wanting things that were shiny & new. The new dark Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, the latest and greatest Nike "swoosh" tennis shoes, and the newest Run DMC album.
I realize this photo is not the best quality but I am excited to share that I have resurrected the original Periscope video from this past summer when we had our Real Talk About Instagram!

This video is a copy made from a cell phone, so it too, isn't the best quality, so please ignore me standing off to the side making sure the video didn't stop! In the end, I felt the information shared was more important than the quality of the video itself.
How many times have you driven through a parking lot and saw a pile of pallets near a dumpster to be thrown away? Did you really ever give them a second thought?
I've never really thought of all the useful ways these wood pieces could be recycled and used as home decor elements.
