Tuesday Tours: 2Ladies Style!!

Happy Tuesday Tour day friends!
Or should I say Merry Christmas instead? Today feels like Christmas morning to me because I get to feature the amazing homes of my two friends Tamara & Joan of 2ladies&achair today!

If you are like me, you have your "go-to" Instagram feeds that you check on daily & get soooo excited when you see they posted a new photo. I even went as far as turning on post notifications for their Instagram account so I can receive an alert each & every time they post...can you say stalker much?
I lovingly refer to Tamara as a "hippie chick" because she calls her home the "house of hippies" & I just can't resist how dang cute that is!
I have been following the work of this talented duo forever & can't seem to get enough 2Ladies love.

Tamara & Joan live in California and are the best of friends! They met while working in the visual merchandising field & have been working together ever since. They both have an amazing sense of style, & they mix daring colors and textures like its their job....hey wait, it is:) 

Together they run a successful boutique decorating & event design studio in Monterey & are resident pinners to the Home Goods Pinterest board. How cool is that?

Did I mention they are the sweetest, friendliest, most down to earth gals?
I truly admire both of these women for being such a positive & inspiring team who always take the time to encourage others.

 Who is behind this fascinating phenomenon we call 2ladies&achair?

Joan's Gorgeous Home:

What a welcoming entrance! I love all the pops of color, the double lanterns, and of course the super sweet miniature chair. This screams "come on in" to me......gladly:)

Joan has some of the best shelf styling skills I have ever seen! This is a perfect example of arranging elements to visually please the eye. There are so many goodies here!

 I love all the beachy/nautical items displayed here. Neutral shades with teals & blues...a perfect marriage to me!

I'm definitely a person who loves to mix textures. I love that Joan added leather to this space...spot on! And can we talk about the gorgeous chandelier?

Who wouldn't love to share a meal at this beautifully set table with family & friends? Simple meets elegant Joan......love it!

This gray fireplace had me at "hello". Love how the color blends so well with the space!

  This is how Joan rock colors, patterns & textures..oh my!! Bravo friend!

I've never met a bar cart I didn't love! This vase of flowers adds visual interest and fun color!

Love this bedroom space and the subtle touches of beautiful blue. The blue glass jug has my heart.

How cute are Joan's Havanese dogs? Kiki & Carmen......you are looking perfectly styled!





Tamara's House of Hippies:

How fun is this space? Tamara NAILS this entire space with her amazing style! The gallery wall is pure eye candy, not to mention the beachy touches & fun patterns!

I can't get enough of this amazing gallery wall! I find something new to drool over each time I see it!
A yellow door? yes please!

 I love the texture of wicker & leather playing off each other! The wicker round tables couldn't be more perfect to make the space super cozy.

 Who doesn't love walls that you can write on? How fun are Tamara's handwritten messages?

I just love this bench at this table! You might be expecting to see standard chairs.....Tamara shows us the "unexpected" just works!

I would have never thought to hang lights through the headboard rungs.....another great idea Tamara!

Love, love the bold dark color of this bathroom!

 How fun are these triangle cut outs in the hallway? Leave it to Tamara to blow us away!

When I first saw this sneak peek of the painted dressers...my mouth literally dropped! The color is so bold, so beautiful......sooooo perfect!

And then there's this......just one gorgeous bedroom in every way. The painted dressers, the pillows, the special collage above the bed. I'd never leave!

Mustard, gray & pink.......these colors just "work". They are bold in their own way, but play together beautifully! Love this space!

And because of this photo, I now need an OMG pillow.....just sayin.

If this photo doesn't say Summer to you, I don't know what will! How about a refreshing beverage at that super cool bar? The color is so fun, the space is inviting, and as always Tamara......."I'm on my way" :)

Tuesday Tours: Industrial Style!

Happy Tuesday friends, and welcome to this weeks edition of Spindle & Rye "Tuesday Tours"!
This week it's all about industrial style, and I couldn't think of a better friend to feature than Allison from A House and a Dog. If you're looking for industrial decor inspiration, Allison is your "go to girl". Allison lives in California with her better half Joe, and their sweet little fur baby "Scooby".

She has a great sense of style, loves decorating, design, crafting and DIY projects.
Definitely my kinda girl!

I'm so happy that Allison has opened up her beautiful home for us to take a peek inside. If your'e not already following her on Instagram, trust me, you're missing out (and should fix that STAT)

We had our house built last year and it was the most exciting and stressful time of our lives. But of course, it was all worth it in the end! We live in a quiet little cul de sac, in a small town in California. Bright and sunshiny days are my favorite!

Ever since I was a little girl I wanted a house with a red door. So of course as soon as the builder showed us the exterior color options, I immediately chose it before even looking at the other choices! We love sitting out on the front patio with our dog, Scooby

Come on in! This sign is a DIY, made with a burlap canvas and a craft decal.

Our floor plan is very open, so our entry way is fairly large. This vintage inspired box is a great place to drop our keys & sunglasses. And I'm always reminded that it's a wonderful life!

Another great reminder before leaving the house! This is my favorite pillow from Loving Leigh Yours. I love supporting small business and Amanda is a doll.

Our great room - we do everything here! It's our media room, game room, living room, den, family room, dining room, breakfast nook, and kitchen all in one.
I wouldn't have it any other way!

I created this little reading nook in the corner and the pouf is the dogs favorite spot to lay and look out the patio window.

Behind our couch is one of my favorite DIY projects. This sofa table was inspired by a $600 piece, that we built for about $20. It's the perfect spot for our drinks and the remote!

The dining room is my favorite room of the house. We kept our old table and I re-stained it to match our new decor.

The chandelier was only $79 and completely changed the look of the whole room.

My Target shelves are also a fav, and I love changing up the decor on them. The grocery sign is also a DIY.

These farm animal prints are another small shop favorite from Haley at Little Bits of Everything Inc. I loved these and just knew they had to be in my house!

Our kitchen is on the small side, but 3 people can still fit without bumping into each other. We don't cook much, but anytime we have a get together or a party, the large breakfast bar is always full of food and people!

Just off the kitchen is a small hallway that had an awkward angled wall. The builder offered extra cabinetry, but with our budget it just wasn't an option we could upgrade. Now, I'm so glad we didn't!

I took that awkward space and made myself a little office. I love sitting here and writing my blogs and browsing Pinterest.

The shelving is another DIY using brackets from Lowe's and left over wood from our sofa table project. Another small shop favorite is Dawn from Eventually Cottage and her awesome family flashcard.

Another awesome space just for me! In our guest bedroom, I use the walk in closet as a craft room. It's just big enough for a desk and a chair, so all my supplies and storage are on the wall. I love that I can come in here start a project and if I don't finish, I just close the door!

Our laundry room is another one of my favorite spots in the house. This sign is a DIY made from a canvas, a decal, and some scrap wood.

Okay so I might have a shelf obsession, but these were another DIY and an alternative to an expensive builder upgrade. We added lower cabinetry in the laundry room, but couldn't afford the uppers. I found the brackets on sale at Target for $5 and used some old fence boards.

Our master bedroom is a work in progress, but Scooby doesn't mind.

I've been collecting some of my favorite decor to create a gallery wall full of love quotes and pictures of us.

The back patio is another one of our favorite hangouts. We love to sit and talk while the dog plays outside. Joe is also an avid gardener, and we BBQ every weekend. I wanted this outdoor space to be just as comfortable as the inside.
