There's no better time of the year than to spread the holiday cheer!
When an easy recipe comes my way that doesn't take a lot of time or effort, I take advantage of the opportunity to serve it up to my family.
When I spotted this OREO Cheesecake Shots recipe, I knew it would be the perfect treat that I could whip up in less than a half hour. Did I mention the initial attraction of no baking involved?
Thankfully my Kroger store is super close to my house and I found myself standing in front of the cookies in no time!
There are a couple aisles that I sometimes might skip while grocery shopping, but the cookie aisle is definitely not one of them!
Another reason to love this recipe? It only contains five ingredients, and I already had most on hand in my pantry. Easy to follow along directions too!
You'll use 12 OREO cookies for this recipe, Reserve four cookies cut into quarters, and crush the remaining 8 cookies. I like to put the cookies inside a plastic bag and get to pounding with my kitchen hammer, turning them into cookie dust! Add softened cream cheese to a medium bowl, then granulated sugar, and blend.
Once the cream cheese and sugar are mixed well, add in the thawed frozen whipped topping. Move the cream cheese mixture to a resealable plastic bag and cut the tip off a corner of the bag. (This makes it easier to squeeze into the shot glasses without making a mess on the side of the glasses with a spoon).
Microwave the seedless raspberry jam, and stir.
Now comes the fun part......You get to layer all the yummy goodness into the shot glasses!
Start with a layer of the crushed OREO cookies, then add a layer of the cream cheese mixture, then the warm raspberry jam........my mouth is watering just thinking about eating these!
Continue alternating layer ingredients until you get to the top of the shot glass. Top each glass with the reserved cookie quarters.
Holy OREO cookie love! This has to be one of the tastiest dessert recipes I have ever tried, not to mention the stunning presentation!
These OREO Cheesecake Shots would be the perfect addition to your holiday dessert menu.
